As a consultant, the candidate will be required to work directly with his placement customer meeting their required objectives. The person will either work from home or the offices in Montevideo. Work hours will match those of the customer to which you are assigned. You will be asked to log your work hours in timesheet tracking systems. Genware will assist you with all of your logistical requirements such as access to a phone system and internet access. You may be asked to visit your customer at times during your project providing you with an opportunity to visit their site.
Funciones
We are in search of a senior programmer that has one of the following skills in addition to meeting the base requirements below:
Specialty skill and at least 3 years of experience using one of the following technologies: IBM Cognos BI.
1) Cognos Business Intelligence
- Version 10 or above
- Must be proficient in Framework Manager and Report Studio development.
4 or 5 Year Degree completed Computer Science or Information Management Degree completed.
Education must have included Computer Programming languages such as Java or .Net.
Education must have included relational database programming (SQL) and data design.
English- Mid level- Business oral and written communication skills.
3 years of work experience, full time as programmer.
Development Skills:
At least 2 years experience in at least one of the required development languages i.e. Java or C# or at least 2 years experience in web development using either HTML, JSP, ASP or ASP.net.
An understanding of Object Oriented programming methodologies.
Experience with applications that include reports is beneficial.
A good working knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, 2000 Server and 2003 Server and/ or UNIX and UNIX commands.
A working knowledge of SQL and Database design.
Project Skills:
Project work should include business applications in which the programming language is used in conjuction with a relational database management system such as Oracle, SQL, DB2, UIDB, or Sybase. (MS Access is not considered for this qualification).
